Project 2025 Happening NOW: Oklahoma's Proposed "Anti-Porn" Bill
And what it could mean for YOU (Scroll to the end to listen)
Imagine you’re a twelve-year-old boy who wakes up with painful wood in his pants. Day after day after day, you have this rigid problem.
You don’t know what’s causing it, because unfortunately, you attend a Christian Nationalist church and school. You can’t tell your mom about this dysfunction, and when you ask your dad, he growls, “Stop thinking about girls” and turns back to his football game.
It relieves the pressure when you touch it. You make mess after mess, but you can’t believe how good it feels while it’s happening, especially when you ignore your dad’s advice and think about girls.
Around the same time, your school chapel services start to change. Whole sessions are devoted to the male principal lecturing the girls’ side of the room. Their bodies tempt boys to sin. Their clothing causes boys to think impure thoughts. The way they sit or stand or walk or exist makes boys lust after them.
The girls are told - repeatedly, in front of you and the other boys - that male lust is a woman’s fault.
Because the males in your life treat women’s bodies like a cross between a forbidden wonderland and a toxic waste dump, you learn to do likewise. You blame various girls in your school as you conjure their faces and tend to your morning wood. When you kiss a girl and go too far, you blame her. And when she gets pregnant, she is expelled from school and sent away while you are coddled as the victim of a slutty vixen. You face zero consequences for your actions. This lesson frames how you view women for the rest of your life.
While this story may sound like hyperbole, it’s a typical Christian Nationalist trajectory. Kids don’t learn about sex or their bodies. Women are blamed and punished for male lust. It is the driving force behind red-state book bans, LGBTQIA+ and trans bans, and sex education bans.
But this worldview goes even deeper. It informs Baptist pastor and Oklahoma congressman Dusty Deevers’ proposed “anti-pornography” bill, now working its way through the Oklahoma legislature.
Yesterday, we covered its first list of items this bill would deem "pornographic” and therefore illegal. In case the first list wasn’t clear, the bill includes another breakdown of “pornographic” activities. Let’s review them.
As used in this title, “unlawful pornography” means any visual depiction or individual image stored or contained in any format on any medium including, but not limited to, film, motion picture, videotape, photograph, negative, undeveloped film, slide, photographic product, reproduction of a photographic product, play, or performance in which a person is engaged in any of the following acts with a person:
a. sexual intercourse which is normal or perverted,
b. anal sodomy,
c. sexual activity with an animal,
d. sadomasochistic abuse,
e. flagellation or torture,
f. physical restraint such as binding or fettering in the context of sexual conduct,
g. fellatio or cunnilingus,
h. excretion in the context of sexual conduct,
i. lewd exhibition of the uncovered genitals in the context of masturbation or other sexual conduct, and
j. lewd exhibition of the uncovered genitals, buttocks, or, if such person is female, the breast, for the purpose of sexual stimulation of the viewer.

Any publication, artwork, book, film, image, song, performance or website that features content that might make a man like House Speaker Mike Johnson think about sex
When I tell people Christo-fascist Republicans are coming after their most intimate moments in their most private spaces, people say things like:
“That will never happen.”
“You sound unhinged.”
“I don’t have time to worry about this.”
“It’s 2024. Nobody actually thinks this way.”
“Maybe we need more Republicans in government to get rid of this everything goes mentality our kids have.”
In my newsletter Sex and the Christian Nationalist, I wrote about why Christian Nationalists believe they have a right to police our most private, intimate acts. Their vengeful Old Testament God orders them to root out ALL activities they deem to be sexually immoral.
These people are downright evil, they operate exactly like a CULT!
It is just horrific how they treat girls and women, literally blaming them for everything, women are 100% set up for failure. Women are not allowed to tell men/ husbands no, and when they do acquiesce then they are dirty sluts. We have breasts to feed newborn babies that they want us to have, but we are evil for having them because men are turned on by them. That is a problem with the MAN!!
It really should be illegal what they're doing, how they are teaching young boys and girls. I would like to see lawsuits against these churches by women that were harmed; emotional distress, pain and suffering.
I notice that text only depictions (vanilla cishet non oral) don't seem to be mentioned. I wonder if it never occurred to them that there's erotic literature, or if they're scared of the consequences if they confiscate their wives' bodice rippers.
