Project 2025: How Christian Nationalists Are Destroying America From Within
And why it matters for YOU (Scroll to the end to listen.)
Now we know a bit about what Christian Nationalists believe about the Last Days and the end of the world. (For those who missed it, read “Why Christian Nationalists Don’t Believe in Climate Change HERE.)
But what do Christian Nationalists believe about the United States and its role in the End Times?
For over fifty years, Christian Nationalist pastors have predicted America’s fall. “The United States won’t be conquered by the Soviet Union or some other outside enemy,” my childhood pastor admonished. “Our real enemy lies within.” Anyone who sat in these churches heard this idea repeatedly.
Project 2025 also deploys this phrase.
Abraham Lincoln warned that the greatest threat to America would come not from without, but from within. This is evident today: Whether it be mask and vaccine mandates, school and business closures, efforts to keep Americans from driving gas cars or using gas stoves, or efforts to defund the police, indoctrinate schoolchildren, alter beloved books, abridge free speech, undermine the colorblind ideal, or deny the biological reality that there are only two sexes, the Left’s steady stream of insanity appears to be never-ending.

How ironic that the party of Lincoln has become the destroyer. Or is it irony?
Given that Christian Nationalists believe we are living in the Last Days, their teachings about the enemy within also indoctrinate congregations to expect and even welcome America’s fall.
Christian Nationalists are divided over whether the United States has a role in the Last Days. Because remember, they interpret the Bible literally. (See “What Is a Christian Nationalist” Belief 2 HERE.)
They think several countries are major players in the Last Days. Russia is among them because they attribute the ancient names Gog and Magog to Russia. (See an informative Britannica entry on Gog and Magog HERE.)
Many Christian Nationalist pastors have long taught that the United States isn’t mentioned in Last Days prophecy. That means 1. The US doesn’t exist during the Last Days; or 2. It is too weakened to have an impact on the world stage.
Some pastors point to this verse as a mention of the United States:
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
Ezekiel 38:13 KJV
Because a lion is a symbol of the United Kingdom, they interpret young lions to mean the United States. In this chapter of Ezekiel, the young lions don’t do anything to prevent an invasion of Israel from the north.
When one applies this Last Days lens to Republican behavior in Congress, it is easy to interpret their motives.
In the Last Days, Russia must be strong enough to invade not only Ukraine but also Israel. Withholding further military aid to Ukraine is in line with their interpretation of Bible prophecy. Russia must defeat Ukraine for their Bibles to come true.
In their view, Israel must also exist and be strong enough for a Russia-led coalition to invade. They reject a Palestinian state and support a strong Israel because it agrees with their Last Days dogma.
They also vote to make the United States weaker on the world stage because we aren’t a major player in Last Days prophecy. They use their nationalist/isolationist approach to mask their Christo-fascist goals, which include following Bible prophecy to the letter. They will destroy America’s world dominance from within to make their Last Days vision our reality.
This is a tough one, because as you say, 'they use their nationalist / isolationist approach to mask'. I suspect a lot of Americans are weary of being a world power and all the requirements that come along with that. I'm not sure Democrats do a good job convincing Americans how we benefit from being a world power, or what happens if/when we recede. China bashing seems to be popular, and I think most Americans who aren't explicitly in the Christian Nationalist camp sympathize with Ukraine over Russia. Or they did earlier on in the conflict at least. So there are angles to use. But we've got to attack their positions, as fundamentally opposed to our values as Americans. And as having bad consequences for Americans.
"Alter beloved books", " indoctrinate school children", "Abridge free speech"...... I can't belive how they lie and twist things.. Aren't all these things THEY are doing? Lol
