I upgraded to a paid subscriber because I think it's important that everyone knows about Project 2025. I know a lot of time and effort goes into reading and interpreting and sharing this tome with the public. I also know not everyone is able to or inclined to pay for this vital information about the dangers of losing our rights and freedoms in America. This is my humble contribution to making this information available to everyone. Thank you, Andra! 🙏

I appreciate your financial support of my work, Maggie.

I haven't said this in a while, so I'll say it again (not to you but for the benefit of others): Writing is my full-time job. I spend around 30 hours per week - not counting the time it took me to read and mark-up P2025 - on this space. Many people here would be insulted if I expected them to give me their time, products, talents, and expertise - in other words, their jobs - for free. As well they should. Yet for some reason, many Americans think a writer's or creator's work should be free.

I disagree. It isn't my job to give away my personal expertise, off-screen-lived trauma, time, talent, and experiences to save democracy or stave off Christo-fascism. Americans should value that work and support that effort with money. I'm not going to change what Americans value, but I don't have to accept being treated like my work is worthless.

This isn't about the value of me or my work. This is about what many Americans value.

It's also why we have a decimated media landscape with raging mis-and-disinformation. If Americans feel entitled to information and believe it should be free, they degrade ALL information. This is why numerous publications have gone under. It's why legacy media like the NYT and WaPo have reverted to "both-sides-ism" to capture more eyeballs and ad revenue.

Americans are going to elect the government we deserve in November. I personally know I'm doing everything I can to convince Americans to choose freedom and democracy over Christo-fascism. If $8 a month is too much for many Americans to pay for all the tools they find here to help them in that fight, then those values could very well elect the government they deserve.

Alternatively, multiple readers have joined the referral program here and receive all posts - free and paid - by convincing a few of their connections to subscribe, either free or paid. I appreciate them, too, because I understand that not everyone has money to pay for this space. In the few minutes it takes them to send the invites, they can earn months of this space for free. Both types of subscribers are counted as Paid and get commenting rights and extra content.

If a man said this, nobody would bat an eye.

Again, I appreciate you, Maggie. Thank you for valuing this work.

That.

Sigh. I always put a qualifier when I say this stuff, because in our society women are still not supposed to have ambition for this kind of work. I'm supposed to be humbled and grateful anyone gives me the time of day, whether or not they pay.

That sentence could probably have ended at 'in our society women are still not supposed to have ambition.'

I'm not self-editing very well today. Missed school due to a stomach thing. But I've written a lot, so at least I used the downtime.

I rather like it when people don't self-edit. But then I suppose most people aren't like me.

"In the verses above, “the higher powers” are God and the government. God ordained the government to rule over humans as his earthly proxy, making government “the powers that be.”"

This is exactly what our forefathers were protecting against in our Constitution--a form of government ordained by God. In other words, a king.

Yes. I say Project 2025 makes the President a dictator. Some have said king. Either way, it funnels all authority through the President. It is absolutely NOT what the Founders intended. We talk about that more in this Friday's newsletter.

BTW, a friend mistakenly sent this to me. I'm glad she did, though. I think it links will with your talks of Christian Nationalism. I could get behind a preacher like this!

So much for the Conservative goal of a government small enough to drown in a bathtub...a vengeful government working on behalf of a vengeful God has to be an omnipresent government to be the agent of an omniscient God.

Andra, Sorry. You're using the 'Old' Testament. (pun intended). Please refer to the 'Newer' (MAGA) Bible that lets "immigratns drown in the Rio Grande shred themselves on razor wire while officers watch". Here is a handy pictorial guide:

Or the Bible Not Authorized By The Orange Jesus. Thanks for this laugh, Deepak. I needed it today.

Hmmm - The Apostle Paul said some questionable things but he had been the equivalent of an ultra conservative preacher who was responsible for the death of Christians before his epiphany and conversion. Paul was communicating with specific churches with these Testaments. He was trying to coach them how to act (but if these were letters they were also somewhat tailored to that “church” - those people. The “GOVERNMENT” crucified Jesus! The Government was feeding Christians to the lions! Using the Bible to intimidate fellow Americans is not Christianity!’

Judge not or so you will be judged.

Love your neighbor as yourself. That’s not a white male hierarchy. Because of Covid-19’ The Lord has sent millions of people back who have died and been resurrected/resuscitated. I had my NDE earlier in 2008. But Project 2025 is the work of the rich - of the ruler of this world - not God. God is love! Heaven is filled with Love. And the only thing that passes with you through the Veil is Love. Love never dies it goes with you.

Claim that everyone is subject to God's law

The write the laws

Then pretty much claim that they themselves are God.........

Then punish all the wicked

But no,....... they're not a cult.

It really is just like a cult..... I watch all the documentaries on Netflix about Cults...... only small variation is some leaders might refer to themselves as prophets, other leaders will definitely refer to themselves as gods or ordained by god.

The leaders always set themselves up as The Authority on who their followers should heed. That's for sure.
