P2025 Promise 3: Defend our Nation's Sovereignty, Borders and Bounty Against Global Threats
Where we explore the 4 Christo-fascist promises and what they mean for YOU (Scroll to the end to listen)
Since we have many new subscribers (WELCOME!), I’m re-running my February series on the Christo-fascist language embedded in Project 2025’s four promises. It’s critical reading to grasp P2025’s theocratic insidiousness.
Much has been made of the far-right’s hatred of immigrants. I’ll cover specific Project 2025 policy recommendations in future installments. Today, I’m focusing on the Christo-fascist language in Promise 3.
Because when they talk about the book of human nature, they mean the Bible.
Intellectual sophistication, advanced degrees, financial success, and all other markers of elite status have no bearing on a person’s knowledge of the one thing most necessary for governance: what it means to live well. That knowledge is available to each of us, no matter how humble our backgrounds or how unpretentious our attainments. It is open to us to read in the book of human nature, to which we are all offered the key just by merit of our shared humanity. One of the great premises of American political life is that everyone who can read in that book must have a voice in deciding the course and fate of our Republic.

For years, liberals have asked me why the right hates education and expertise. I can’t speak for everyone on the right, but I can speak for Christian Nationalists.
Christian Nationalists hate education and expertise because they believe everything humans need to know is contained in the Bible, the book of human nature.
This is yet another veiled statement that the Bible should be the basis of our laws. They bury these Christo-fascist tidbits amid screeds against immigrants and open borders on purpose. Here’s why.
Liberals love being outraged, they reason. They’ve had decades to study what the Left cares about, what makes us react. And yes, many of Project 2025’s recommendations are racist and inhumane. They have already handed us much to rail against every day, all day long.
Christian Nationalists count on the Left’s outrage over symptoms. For decades, we excelled at ignoring the root cause of our problems. We called them brainwashed and crazy, blinded and delusional. We dismissed code-red warnings as hysteria and hyperbole. Many of us never bothered to dig deeper, to drill down to the root.
The solution to all of the above problems is not to tinker with this or that government program, to replace this or that bureaucrat. These are problems not of technocratic efficiency but of national sovereignty and constitutional governance. We solve them not by trimming and reshaping the leaves but by ripping out the trees—root and branch.

This section of Project 2025 is derived from these Bible verses. In them, God is the root.
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Romans 11:17-18 KJV
For the 2024 election and beyond, any American who cares about freedom and democracy would be wise to be outraged about the root. Christian Nationalist politicians intend to rip out our democracy from the root and replace it with a Christo-fascist theocratic government governed by their interpretation of the Bible, the book of human nature.

Every one of your essays fills me with dread. I’m sure the majority of Americans would be horrified by a future like this, but if they don’t wake this is what they will get.
Thank you for going through all this. It gets worse and worse every point.
