Disgusting. It seems to me that someone who has been active in veterans affairs should organize to make this known to veterans groups. Veterans are a key target of the Republicans. Who can do this? Is it already being done?
I don't know anyone with connections to veterans groups, but I'm confident we have subscribers who are involved. Because yes, it is disgusting. I didn't expect to be as angry as I've been while researching and compiling this data. Every time I think I've found the bottom of my well of anger, I have to go deeper.
I couldn't help but tie this reduction in benefits to those issues. Especially since Republicans have made it crystal clear how they feel about homelessness, addiction and mental health issues.
I'm glad you mentioned Jon Stewart because in 2022 he forcefully denounced Republicans for blocking the burn pit bill that Democrats and the president were going to sign which went viral. Now he's been a lot more low-key and seemingly somewhat both sidesing things. Why do you think this is?
I don't know. I've been disappointed in his comeback overall. I preferred his harder-hitting work with Apple. He has talked at length about the burn pit process and how grueling it was.

Because they live in an alternate reality where they aren't given information like this. And when I try to give it to them, they don't want it because I'm not part of their alternate reality.
Exactly. The worst segment of magas are the vets! How any of them can support him is so bizarre. My uncle a Vietnam vet died of agent orange exposure. It was awful watching him being so sick and fighting to stay alive.

I don't know many veterans, but I know we have many here who either are veterans or love veterans. I hope this entire series was helpful.
My husband is a veteran however he was not in theatre. He knows many veterans and some who were. Mostly airman and pilots.

I hope more veterans’ groups are finding this information. More people are writing about it, but so many Americans silo themselves.
