Project 2025 is the Republican Party’s fascist manifesto to transform our government from a democracy to a Christian Nationalist theocracy. We will live under a dictator in a dictatorship. The Supreme Court made this possible on 1 July.
Project 2025 follows the Christian Nationalist definition of marriage and family: the man heads the home; the woman submits and has as many children as the man wants; the woman stays home and rears children.
They will outlaw same-sex marriage. They will force LGBTQIA+ people back into the closet and outlaw transgender people. They will outlaw IVF to prevent same-sex couples from having children. They will outlaw and criminalize abortion nationwide. They will prosecute pregnancy outcomes that don’t result in a live birth, ie miscarriages. They will outlaw all contraception. They will outlaw all divorce or make divorce next-to-impossible to obtain.
Project 2025 guts the federal government. The Supreme Court has already paved the way to destroy our federal government and remake it as a Republican loyalist swamp if they win.
Project 2025 guts government science and research and replaces them with the Bible, cronyism, and surveillance.
Project 2025 guts all climate initiatives and replaces them with Drill Drill Drill.
Project 2025 will destroy our economy, and YOU will pay for it. There will be no Social Security, no Medicare, and no Affordable Care Act.
Project 2025 creates a propaganda machine for the regime. It will destroy the free press and render sites like this Substack illegal.
Project 2025 will criminalize and incarcerate anyone who produces or consumes “pornography” as they define it. (Hint: If it makes Mike Johnson think about sex, it’s porn to a Christian Nationalist.)
Project 2025 will turn all American public schools into Christian Nationalist schools for forced religious indoctrination. All welfare assistance will also require forced religious indoctrination in exchange for help or support.
Project 2025 also calls for mass deportations of “illegal” immigrants, the withholding of federal funds to force blue states to comply with regime laws (like national abortion bans), and the removal of district attorneys who refuse to prosecute regime laws.
Project 2025 destroys American democracy.
The poor will be poorer. The middle class will be steamrolled. Billionaire oligarchs will make bank and “tip” the regime for access. Every safety net Americans have will be demolished for the benefit of billionaires and the regime.
Those are the stakes, my fellow Americans. I believe in you. I believe in us. I believe in the power of We the People. Working as a team, we can defeat the greatest threat to our democratic republic since the Civil War. We can vote to oust fascist Republicans, Project 2025, and their dystopian hellscape.
