Project 2025: The Republican Party's Wet Dream of Retribution
Weaponizing the Department of Justice (Scroll to the end to listen)
How soon we forget to remember.
In the waning days of 45’s administration, he and his cronies were desperate to overturn the results of the 2020 election. They filed lawsuit after lawsuit challenging the results and lost time after time. They used mafioso tactics to intimidate election officials to change the results. They even summoned a traitorous mob to storm the Capitol.
They also sought to install an acting Attorney General who would rubber-stamp their desecration of our Constitution and rule of law: Jeffrey Clark.
Whoever the next Republican President appoints as Attorney General, be it Jeffrey Clark or someone like him, that person will agree with the following P2025 statement:
The President does have control of the Department of Justice (DOJ). Thus, he has authority as President, primarily through his choice of attorney general and other political appointees, to direct the prosecutorial functions of the DOJ regarding criminal enforcement.
Project 2025, page 863
In other words, the President’s agenda will define what the Constitution means. It will spell out our new rule of law (or lack thereof.)
The fundamental question for any political appointee, including Attorney General, will be Will you carry out the President’s agenda?
Since 45’s felony conviction 34-times-over, 45 and his Republican Party have made clear what his agenda will be: RETRIBUTION. PUNISHMENT. VENGEANCE.
“Those who turn our judicial system into a cudgel must be held accountable.” Senator Mike Lee (R) UT
“This was a zombie case illegally brought forward by a corrupt prosecutor doing Joe Biden’s political bidding.” Elise Stefanik (R) NY
“How many Republican DAs or AGs have stones? We aren’t a serious political movement until we are ready to fight fire with fire. Indict the left, or lose America.” Charlie Kirk
“Time for red state AGs and DAs to get busy. Hillary Clinton’s campaign-funded Steele dossier is a good start. The statute of limitations expired but I’m told that’s not a thing anymore.” Mike Collins (R) GA
In case it isn’t clear that carrying out the President’s agenda will be the sole goal of the Department of Justice and its Attorney General, here’s another P2025 gem:
When a new President takes office, he will need to decide expeditiously how to handle any major ongoing litigation or other pending legal matters that might present a challenge to his agenda.
Project 2025, page 28
What presents a challenge to the Republican Christo-fascist agenda? Besides making a convicted felon the President with many more felony charges pending? Because coupled with vengeance and retribution, Christo-fascist government will be the next Republican President’s agenda. These people and institutions are in danger:
Prosecutors at every level of government who follow our Constitutional rule of law and charge the President and his supporters with crimes. See Alvin Bragg, Jack Smith, Fani Willis, and similar.
Anyone who sues the President or his supporters or accuses them of crimes. See E. Jean Carroll, Stormy Daniels, Christine Blasey Ford, and similar.
States, municipalities and localities that convict the President and/or his supporters of crimes. See Marjorie Taylor Greene calling to defund the entire state of New York over 45’s felony conviction 34-times-over. I already wrote about how P2025 calls for withholding federal funds to force blue states to follow Christo-fascist theocratic laws HERE.
Anyone who is a Democrat or votes for Democrats. “Repairing this breach of constitutional norms will require Republicans to follow the age-old maxim: Do unto others as they have done unto you. In order to prevent the case against Trump from assuming a permanent place in the American political system, Republicans will have to bring charges against Democratic officers, even presidents.” - John Yoo, former George W Bush torture lawyer in the National Review. See Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, the Obamas, and any Democrat politician or voter.
The President’s agenda will also include using the Department of Justice to force recalcitrant blue states and Democrat officials to toe the line.
Jurisdictions suffering from deficiencies in the rule of law warrant, as appropriate within our federal system, greater attention and additional federal resources that are sufficient to protect the rights of American citizens and federal interests. In the next conservative Administration, the DOJ, acting primarily through its U.S. Attorneys, should therefore:
Use applicable federal laws to bring federal charges against criminals when local jurisdictions wrongfully allow them to evade responsibility for their conduct. The department should also increase the federal law enforcement presence in such jurisdictions and explore innovative solutions to bring meaningful charges against criminals and criminal organizations in such jurisdictions. (‘Criminals’ could also be defined by my bulleted list above. - ALW)
Where warranted and proper under federal law, initiate legal action against local officials—including District Attorneys—who deny American citizens the “equal protection of the laws” by refusing to prosecute criminal offenses in their jurisdictions. This holds true particularly for jurisdictions that refuse to enforce the law against criminals based on the Left’s favored defining characteristics of the would-be offender (race, so-called gender identity, sexual orientation, etc.) or other political considerations (e.g., immigration status). (This would also apply to DAs who refuse to prosecute abortions, ‘pornography', and anything else criminalized by a Christo-fascist Republican regime. ALW)
Enforce the death penalty where appropriate and applicable. Capital punishment is a sensitive matter, as it should be, but the current crime wave makes deterrence vital at the federal, state, and local levels. However, providing this punishment without ever enforcing it provides justice neither for the victims’ families nor for the defendant. The next conservative Administration should therefore do everything possible to obtain finality for the 44 prisoners currently on federal death row. It should also pursue the death penalty for applicable crimes—particularly heinous crimes involving violence and sexual abuse of children—until Congress says otherwise through legislation. (Remember who Republicans are trying to label ‘pedophiles’ and ‘sex offenders’? Librarians and teachers who give students banned books. Drag queens. LGBTQIA+ human beings. And similar. - ALW)

In the wake of 45’s felony conviction, Republicans are making their position crystal clear: Should they come to power, they will punish anyone who challenges them, defies them, exposes their corruption, convicts them, questions them, or votes against them. Project 2025 lays out policies such that they will use the Department of Justice to carry out this wet dream of vengeance and retribution. We cannot let them win.

This may be a topic you still plan to cover, but can we assume that P2025 ramps up the Republican’s strategy of remaking the judicial branch through withholding appointments under a Dem President and then installing far right judges once they are able? Do they have anything new up their sleeves?
Dem voters who would march in protest in the wake of Trump's re-election and invocation of the Insurrection Act could conceivably come under fire. The National Guard and/or the military could be activated. Is a Tiananmen Square, American-style, possibly in the offing? After all, Trump wanted to gun down protestors in Lafayette Square but was restrained by Milley and Esper. Take people like that out of the equation and what then is possible? I've heard/read observers who think this scenario is within the realm of possibility. Such a master plan goes beyond Republican weaponization of the DOJ.
