Reading what they think the NIH 'should' do, why don't they say the NIH should do studies highlighting the 'positive' effects of gun violence while they're at it?

If they come to power, their “positive” effects of gun violence will be shooting their opponents and anyone else they consider to be “vermin.” (Their word. And Hitler’s. Not mine.)

You are well read, so I’m assuming you already know this; but in case it slide by you in the tsunami of info,

The pro-gun folks have already taken steps to shut down research at NIH, CDC regarding the epidemic of gun deaths & mass shootings.

They don’t want to know about it & they certainly don’t want the public to know about it

Project 2025 is silent on guns. No mentions. So that makes sense.

"HHS should create and promote a research agenda that supports pro-life policies and explores the harms, both mental and physical, that abortion has wrought on women and *girls*."

Girls? They are worried about how abortion harms girls? A pregnant 10 year old is a victim of rape, since children can't consent to sex. So, we're just going to let 10 year olds give birth? Remind me which party is the groomer party again?

People need to think long and hard about this. In a similar vein, ask the people in the UK who voted for Brexit how they feel about it now. Most of them regret it. They voted in self-abnegation because xenophobia and lies. Sound familiar?

Christian Nationalists believe every pregnancy is a gift from God. Even those seeded through rape and incest. This is why so many Republican legislators vote against those exceptions, even though in practice “exceptions” aren’t real. If a 10-year-old gets pregnant, God gave her that baby, and God’s reasoning is perfect. No matter how much lip service they pay to it, diehard Christian Nationalists will always vote for every pregnancy to end in a live baby. (And that includes every embryo, because they believe life begins at fertilization.)

This is deeply upsetting to me. I hope the majority of Americans are deeply upset by the prospect of a 10 year old being doubly traumatized, too. I can remember being 10 and I can honestly say the prospect of giving birth at 10 would have frightened and terrorized me.

Frankly, more Americans should be shouting about this every second. It is unconscionable.
